| The Great Pumpkin Train
|
The
Great Pumpkin Train has quickly become such a classic
that all of the tourist railroads in the mid-west now
imitate this event. The Great Pumpkin Train
features a 30 minute ride on our historic train from
Spooner Depot to the Pumpkin Patch near Trego.
Upon arrival guests are treated to a variety of family
oriented activities along with entertainment.
Activities include carnival rides, railroad motor car
rides, a hay ride, games, face painting, cartoon
theater, food booth and more. Kids are welcome
to walk through field and select a pumpkin to take
home.

Iris Fine Arts Show |

in The Ballroom of the NW Sports Complex (above
Jersey
’s Bar & Grill) in downtown Spooner, the 4th
Annual 2009 Black Iris Fine Arts Show is a juried art
show that features the artwork of regionally famous
artists from both WI and MN. Mediums at this premier
regional fine art show range from visual art
(originals and prints) and fine art photography to
pottery, jewelry, sculpture, weaving, knives, stone,
quilts, wood, and more.

The
First Annual 2009 Fall Flavors Brew Fest is at
Kegler’s Pub & Pin on Hwy 63 in Spooner. Held
during Spooner’s new Jack O’ Lantern Fest,
Kegler’s Pub & Pin invites you to enjoy the
region’s best local brews, meet the brewmasters and
their reps, and enjoy the upscale lounge environment
of Kegler’s Pub & Pin. Come for the beer tasting
(21 & over only), and stay for the bowling (all
ages)!

| Pumpkin Weigh In Contest & Craft Fair
|
Both
take place at Spooner Country Store. The Weigh-Ins go
from 9:00 am to noon and the fair from 10:00 am to
4:00 pm. Contact 715-635-3236 for more

| Baking Contest & Farmer’s Market
|
The
contest is open to bakers of all ages. The four baking
categories are Harvest Pies,
Harvest Bars and Cookies, Harvest Cakes, Breads and
more, and a Young Bakers open category. The
Young Bakers category is open to bakers 17 years of
age & younger. Awards will be given in all 4
categories.
Drop
off time for entries is 8 AM to 10AM on October 17 in the festival area at Front Street & Oak
Street.
Judging will begin at 11 AM. Winners will be announces
at 12 noon. All entries must be
picked up by 1 PM. For more
